The old trainbridge in Wesel…

Parts of the old train bridge…

Hi all – our adventure brought us to the old trainbridge in Wesel, a place we’ve been before. However it was a first for Kiyu though and she had a ball with all the space there is and hardly any people about πŸ™‚ as you can see – we had the place pretty much to ourselves.

Kiyu running for the geese…

A lot of birds on the ground, mainly geese and some ducks as well. Kiyu – being the inquisitive mind that she is – had to dash down and see what they are. However the boss called her back before she went all the way as they are breeding at the moment. How do I know, I found a nest with 4 large eggs in it πŸ™‚ and I had to stick my nose into it. Of course good as I am I only sniffed at it and mama geese can come back and keep them warm.

Benn and the geese egg discovery…

Anyhow – it was a lot of swimming again today and as you might guess, I am so knackered now. Waiting for dinner to be served and then of to a real good snooze πŸ’€ First though let me show you some pictures where you get the idea how vast this place is.

As I said before – great fun to run around and do whatever we want to do πŸ™‚ and there is lots to discover as you might imagine. Adventure for a nose like mine πŸ™‚ while Kiyu just loves to run around all over the place. Of course we did a lot of swimming and running in and out of the water.

Kiyu had to be very good and sit and wait…

Kiyu waiting for me to fetch the ball…

while my job was to go and fetch the ball. I do this at my own pace and I think it annoys Kiyu when she is not allowed to interfere with me 😎 She can be a tat impassioned when it comes to her ball. However for me to get a treat I have to bring it back to the boss and that sometimes takes a while longer… Kiyu is a lot faster in fetching the ball, while I am much more focussed on the treat I get πŸ™‚

Here are some more images of that massive bridge, you can even see all the impact craters from whatever they were shooting at during the war. Amazing stuff and it still stands, however we were not allowed to go on top of it. It is closed of because of structural damage – the sign said. Anyhow – those pics were taken on the way back, we spent the best part of 2.5 hrs out there, after having watched the boss cleaning the house for most of the morning πŸ™‚

Being knackered… πŸ™‚

Above you can see the old and the new bridge and us being pretty damn dead from all the running and swimming we did. Still it was fun and plenty of action for the 2 of us. Anyhow – here come the rest of the pics taken, even saw a stork while on the way down to the water. The boss should have brought the big camera… There will be a video from our visit, however that just takes too long now to upload. So watch out for that on FaceBook. Crap upload speed here in the office at the moment… according to speedtest-cli.
Well – you all have a wonderful evening and paws up from Kiyu and me 🐾 🐾
